Broadcast outputs tailored to production
The documented configurations provide a 1080i video signal, at 25 or 30 frames per second depending on the country. Fill & Key outputs manage the transparency of the graphics; a Preview output allows for monitoring the rendering.
Documented video format
1080i signal. The frame rate indicated in the technical specifications varies between 25 and 30 frames per second depending on the country.
Basic and Pro
The basic solution covers flat design and 2D; the Pro configuration adds 2D, 3D, and video animations.
Frame rate depends on country
The frame rate is set according to the country and production requirements.
Architecture
System
From the timing station to the broadcast control room
Depending on the setup, the overlay is managed from the timing station or directly from the outside broadcast van. The ITS scheme includes a wired network connection between the timing and graphics stations, audio and video links, a program return, and an intercom. The documented overlay signal is provided in 1080i HD-SDI Fill & Key.
Technology
Expertise
Hardware and features depend on configuration
Hardware and graphics modules are defined based on the setup planned for the event and the selected service level.

Basic solution: flat design and 2D
The described basic configuration includes a dedicated PC with a professional graphics card (e.g., Matrox), a 1080i signal at 25 or 30 fps depending on the country, Fill & Key outputs for transparency, and a Preview output.

Pro configuration with Ross Xpression
The Ross Xpression overlay station supports 2D, 3D, and video animations, IN/OUT video animations, and social media management. The spec sheet also includes 1080i Fill & Key and Preview outputs.

Graphic modules and options
The package can include titling, weather, timers, flags, race control messages, starting lists and grids, rankings, gaps, battles, and podiums. Depending on the package, live tracking requires a full ATLAS system; telemetry requires a specific onboard system.
